An anklet that charges the wearer’s body to 15,000 volts and statically charges anything he/she touches, allowing said object to be stuck to a wall, or anything grounded.

The 3 main components to this project are:

High Voltage Power Supply:
- In this case I used a negative Ion generator from a small electric fan (which claimed to clean the air with negative ions) that runs on 9 – 14 volts.

Dielectric:
-In this case your shoes act as the perfect dielectric between your body and the ground, allowing a static charge to build up.

Ground Loop:
-A loop on the bottom of your shoes to complete the circuit to the ground.

It’s a very simple circuit, and the results are super fun to show off to your friends or neighbors, I hid it in my pants and magically got someone’s card to stick to a wall (during a card trick), it gets them every time.

I hope to scale this up and have robots stick to walls using only van der waals forces. Maybe even a human eventually, spiderman web spinners to come next.
